Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the EnvDock mobile application (package com.envdock.app), this website and any related services (together, the "App"), provided by Growtech ("Growtech", "we", "us" or "our"). By downloading, installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. About EnvDock

EnvDock is a local-first SSH tool for developers and system operators. It lets you store server connection details on your device and, over SSH, manage environment (.env) files, view configured keys, manage ports and firewall rules, run saved commands (runbooks), use an interactive terminal, and run load tests against the connected host. EnvDock does not operate a cloud service that stores your servers, credentials or environment files; the App connects directly from your device to servers you choose.

2. Eligibility

The App is intended for professional and technical users. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the App. If you use the App on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that organisation.

3. License

Subject to these Terms, Growtech grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Android devices that you own or control, for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may not:

• copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, lease or sublicense the App;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits this despite this restriction;
• circumvent, disable or interfere with licensing, subscription or feature-gating mechanisms, or share, publish or trade promotional codes;
• remove or alter any proprietary notices.

Your use of the App obtained from Google Play is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

4. Your servers, commands and credentials

EnvDock is a powerful tool that acts on your instructions. You are solely responsible for:

• Authorisation. Only connecting to servers and systems that you own or are explicitly authorised to administer.
• Commands and changes. Every command, runbook entry, terminal input, environment activation, file write, firewall or port change, and load test that you start through the App, and all of their effects — including downtime, data loss, misconfiguration, locked-out access (for example closing your SSH port) or security exposure.
• Credentials. Keeping your device, SSH keys, passwords, passphrases and environment secrets secure. Credentials are stored encrypted on your device, but anyone with access to your unlocked device may be able to use them. We recommend enabling the App lock and using dedicated, least-privilege SSH keys.
• Backups. Keeping your own backups of servers, configuration and data. EnvDock may create a backup copy of a .env file before writing it, but you must not rely on the App as your backup system. If you lose your device or uninstall the App, locally stored data cannot be recovered by us. If you forget an encrypted vault backup passphrase, the backup cannot be decrypted.
• Load tests. Load tests run on the connected server and target only that server's loopback address. You must make sure you are permitted to generate that load and that it will not harm production workloads or breach your hosting provider's terms.
• Compliance. Complying with the laws, contracts and policies that apply to the systems and data you manage.

Review commands before you run them. Status indicators, pre- and post-flight checks and other information shown by the App are aids only and may be incomplete or inaccurate.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to:

• access, probe, scan, attack or disrupt any system, network or account without authorisation;
• conduct denial-of-service attacks or generate traffic against systems you are not authorised to test;
• store, transmit or deploy malware or any unlawful content;
• violate any applicable law, regulation or third-party right, including privacy and data-protection laws;
• interfere with the App, its licensing, or the services of Google Play or RevenueCat.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Core features of EnvDock are free, with limits (currently up to 3 hosts, 2 projects per host and 3 environments per project). EnvDock Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features. The features included in Free and Pro, and these limits, may change over time.

• Billing. All purchases are processed by Google Play Billing using your Google account. Growtech does not receive or store your payment card details. Subscription status is verified through RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider.
• Price. The price, billing period and any taxes are shown in the App and on Google Play before you confirm a purchase, in your local currency.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. Google Play will notify you of price changes as required by its policies.
• Free trials and offers. If a free trial or introductory price is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. Eligibility is determined by Google Play.
• Cancellation. You can cancel any time in the Google Play Store app under Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription. After cancellation, Pro remains active until the end of the current paid period.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play refund policy. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partially used periods. You may request a refund from Google Play, or contact us and we will help where we can.
• Restore. Pro status is tied to the Google account used to purchase. Use the restore option in Settings if Pro does not appear after reinstalling.
• Promotional codes. Promotional codes or grants we issue are personal, may expire, have no cash value and may be revoked if misused.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its software, design, logo, name and content are owned by Growtech or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not give you any rights in them except the license in Section 3. You keep all rights to the server details, environment values and other content you enter into the App.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without obligation to you.

8. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services and open-source components, including Google Play (distribution and billing), RevenueCat (subscription status), and the operating system's biometric and secure-storage features. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, or for the servers and software you connect to.

9. No warranty

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, SECURITY, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY COMMAND, CHANGE OR CHECK PERFORMED THROUGH THE APP WILL PRODUCE THE RESULT YOU EXPECT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GROWTECH AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL, SERVER UPTIME OR SECURITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP, INCLUDING ANY COMMANDS, CONFIGURATION CHANGES OR LOAD TESTS YOU RUN ON YOUR SYSTEMS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP SUBSCRIPTION IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Growtech harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your access to or actions on any system through the App.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it; remember to cancel any active subscription in Google Play. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms or use the App unlawfully. We may also modify or discontinue the App or any feature. On termination, the license in Section 3 ends, and Sections 4 and 7–15 continue to apply.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date, and for material changes we will give reasonable notice, for example in the App or on this website. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live, the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the App. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

15. General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Growtech about the App. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
